Hey I am new to the game. I dont know what to do. Should I do roleplaying or should I do PVP? whats the difference between them?

starting out I would say role play. Since you dont have any feel for the games controls, skills or mechanics.

Role Play is just playing through the story line and killing npcs, getting cool gear ect.

PvP starts you at level 20 and some basic skills(not much lol), and then basically throws you in random arenas.

I highly suggest you begin role playing and perhaps try the arenas in various places throughout tyria. ie Ascalon arenas. That will give you atleast an idea of arena style pvp.

I would also say PVE is the best place to start. There you can learn the basics of the game at your own pace.

yeah I think i will do role play....are the expansions in the game expensive?

around 30-40 bucks each...although you can find them on sale or discounted at various stores

There are three campaigns and one expansion. You must own one of the campaigns to be able to play the expansion. There are lots of deals out there for the games...shop around and you can pick up some for $10-$20. If you buy any of the other games be sure to add the cd key to your existing account so that they are linked together. That way any character you create will be have access to the other campaign.
